Notes

Took a pretty aggressive pace most of the day.  For not having acclimated (drove in
from Bakersfield that morning - elev 408 ft) I felt surprisingly good (at least until
I tried to go over Trail Crest).

Hiking up to Trail Crest from Guitar Lake was fine at first, but became torture
by the time I approached the Main Trail junction.  To do it over again I would
exit back over the Whitney-Russell Pass!  It also added over a thousand feet
of additional gain due to the descent down to Guitar Lake.
