Telescope Peak

The road beyond the kilns was open and was clear to Thorndike Campground.  Beyond that snow
and ice made it impossible to drive to Mahogany Flat.

Snow on the North slope of Rogers Peak was packed and perfect for crampons.  The snow on Telescope
Peak was textured, crunchy, and windblown.  The snow was starting to get icy but was not yet
a problem.  There were a few soft spots usually next to large rocks, but snow shoes would have
probably been too much trouble.

10:43am - Reached summit of Rogers Peak
11:23am - Reached summit of Bennett Peak
02:10pm - Reached summit of Telescope Peak
02:55pm - Left Telescope Peak summit
06:02pm - Returned to trailhead
06:17pm - Returned to Thorndike Campground
