San Jacinto

Snow was about 3 feet deep and was fresh powder.  Snow shoes were mandatory.  Ice axe and crampons
were unnecessary.

The route via Wellman Divide didn't seem to be effective.  Contouring around Jean in deep soft snow was
extremely slow and difficult.

Next time follow the drainage all the way up from past the ranger station to the Jacinto/Jean saddle.  This
would be the shortest route.  Or get up on the ridge between Miller and Cornell and then more or less
follow the ridge up.
