After having gone up the gully to the East of Queen, I think it may have been preferable to head directly up the ridge to the left.

There are two summits of nearly identical height.  The register is on the peak to the East.  The peak to the West is the one described in HPS route 1 and is identified by a large mass of rock.  There is a new register on the true summit (actually just a bottle) that was left by the last person to summit.

Weather was perfect.  68 degrees, a slight breeze, clear sky (some haze), and not windy.

Many others report windy conditions on the summit so wind is probably the norm here.

If doing multiple peaks in the day, don't forget to factor in driving time.  The geology
tour road will take 30 minutes each way.

10:50am - Arrived back at vehicle

11:41am - Left Desert Queen Mine parking area
12:09pm - Reached Pine City site (where the rocks are)
12:38pm - Departed Pine City and entered the wash headed to Queen Mtn
02:21pm - Reached primary summit of Queen Mtn (Middle/West Summit)
02:49pm - Reached East summit
03:05pm - Departed summit (descended via HPS Route 1)
04:24pm - Arrived back at parking area
