Next time it might be better to do the hike over from Williamson.  Then again,
maybe not.  Total elevation gain from Williamson trailhead would be ?

The hike uphill back up the Burkhart
trail was long and tiring.  It would have been less elevation gain even
if hiked up from Devil's Punchbowl.

The trail that skirts around Will Thrall is a waste of time.  It's deteriorated and twice as long as just going back over Will Thrall.  It's only about 200 feet of elevation
gain to go back over Will Thrall.

Lowest Point: 5650 ft - just Northeast of the falls
Burkhart Saddle: 6930 ft
Parking Area at CG exit: 6580 ft

Tot Elev gain: 4430 ft
Total Distance RT: About 13 miles

HPS: The grand total for Route 1 would be 15 miles and 4700' of gain for the three peaks.


To do the 4 peaks from the Williamson trailhead is about 6300 feet of elevation gain!  The mileage is less though (probably about 12 miles RT).
