Start time: 6:17am (camera time not yet adjusted). We started from the opposite side of the Hwy 111 / Snow Creek intersection (just to be absolutely sure we didn't park somewhere inappropriate).
Gettin thick as we approach the Falls Creek crossing
Top of one of Falls Creek's waterfalls. This is the one that you are likely to see if you come up the regular route.
Catching up with the trail at the top of the "isthmus". 10:32am. It took 4 hrs 15 mins to get here using our "approved" approach route.
One of several waterfalls in Snow Creek's East Fork. We bypass well above these.
Snow tongue -- below the chockstone. The chockstone is completely buried.
The minor bump ahead is where the chockstone is.
We started down there from the Snow Creek / 111 intersection.
Some mixed terrain slowed us down at the top. We did the direct finish (or at least the most reasonably direct one).
Looks like they need a new sign. Finish time (at the upper tram station): 7:08pm. Mike and I started at 6:17am. Our total time was 12 hrs 51 mins.
This is the BIG waterfall in Falls Creek. We crossed over one of the upper falls (barely visible) in the upper left of the photo.
