Roaring River ranger station. 4:52am. 3 hrs 39 mins from Marvin Pass trailhead.
Covered in mosquitos while rushing to put boots back on after river crossing
Trail contiues to Colby Pass. We break off here to head up the drainage between Glacier Ridge and the Whaleback. 7:51am.

Final stream crossing. The rocks made it a rather painful crossing.
Marvin Pass. With only minutes till sunset Bob suggests we run the remaining mile to the trailhead in an attempt to finish in under 20 hours. And so after having hiked nearly 50 miles we run the final mile without stopping. We finished slightly over 20 hours but it was a worthy effort.
Return to Marvin Pass trailhead at sunset. 8:16pm. Total elapsed trip time: 20 hrs 3 mins. Total distance: approaching 50 miles. Average speed inluding all breaks: 2.5mph. Elevation gain: over 8000 feet.
