North end of Cathedral Peak. Actual summit is further south.
Some postholing but not too bad. Lots of people were lost however.
I ascended from here (from the NW). Summit is to the left. Eichorn Pinnacle is on the right.
Ascending from the NW. Looking down at a nice little snow filled bowl.
I ended up going back and forth over these slabs 4 times searching for a route
Had to stop here and search for an alternate route. Class 4+ or 5 friction necessary here (or a scary lieback). There is significant exposure below this photo.
I believe this is the class 3 route to the summit block but it was blocked by steep soft snow
2 climbers descending after having completed the SE buttress
Cathedral's summit block. Hmmmm. I hope it's easier around the other side.
Looking down at Eichorn Pinnacle from the summit of Cathedral Peak
Looking down at the 15 ft class 4 section (great holds)
Descending around to the north side of Cathedral Peak
