North Fork is almost entirely clear of snow to LBSL
A number of Restoration Area signs were recently put up
Snow on Thor's NE slope. It was becoming suncupped on the lower part of the slope which made for bumpy glissading. It was better higher up.
The "Secret Route". We opt to stay on the snow and keep heading up.
Nice stripe of snow leading up to the Russell/Carillon saddle
Not too many have been up here since I was last here in December.
Glissading on top was actually better than I expected.
Halfway back down to LBSL. We opted to glissade. There were quite a few exposed rocks so we had to stop frequently and maneuver around them.
Daryl glissading down to LBSL. The suncups on the bottom of the slope had softened up in the afternoon. Still bumpy but not as bad as it was earlier in the day.
Skiers heading up to Whitney to ski down from the Notch.
A hiker on the Ebersbacher Ledges. From this perspective it looks scarier than it is.
The Whitney Portal Store. Time for some burgers!
