Mono Pass Trailhead - most people start at Tioga Pass
Remnants of an old log cabin by Dana Creek (perhaps a mile from the highway)
Approaching the regular ridge route from the South
It's amazing how many balloons you find up in the high mountains.
There is a fantastic view of Mono lake from the summit of Mount Dana
Looking up at Mount Dana from the top of the large chute to the East.
This rippled snow on the SE side of Dana really sucked to descend on foot. The snow elsewhere on Dana was nice but not here.
Unnamed peak near the large saddle between Dana & Gibbs. The saddle appears in the lower right.
Looking down at the saddle between Dana & Gibbs. Mount Gibbs is just off the photo to the right.
Approaching the large saddle between Dana & Gibbs. Mount Gibbs is barely visible at the far right of the photo.
Mount Gibbs (as seen from the saddle to the North)
Mount Gibbs (as seen from near the saddle between Gibbs & Dana)
Looking toward my ascent route. I went up the easier terrain well left of the waterfall.
Dana Creek -- snow on one side, clear on the other
Mount Dana (as seen from near the Mono Pass trailhead)
